The Chieftain Mk5 is one of the Main Battle Tanks of the United Kingdom, like most of the other MBTs that the UK uses, it sacrifices speed for Armor.
The Chieftain Mk5 was first delivered to the British Army in 1972. Chieftain Mk5 is the definitive modal of the Chieftains. The engine was L60 Mk 7A which had 750 horsepower engine. The ammunition stowage was rearranged to store more ammo.
It is available to NATO after unlocking the Chieftain Mk2, compared to its predecessor, the Chieftain Mk5 features:
