Fliegerfaust (German: Plane fist) are new West German AA Infantry and appear in Vox Populi (DLC). They carry standard G3A2 battle rifles and the Redeye man-portable SAM.

History

While no actual dedicated Anti-Aircraft infantry were ever deployed during the Cold War and such Fliegerfaust units ever existed, it is possible that in the setting of Wargame, which depicts the Cold War erupting into World War 3, West Germany were to create and deploy such AA Infantry teams. It shares its name from the German World War 2 prototype Anti-Aircraft missile, the Fliegerfaust.

During the Cold War, Gepard Units had multiple crews to ensure 24 hours readiness, but the off-duty crews would travel with the battery in Unimogs and deploy MANPADS if necessary.
