The Fremantle is an unusual ship, it is a capture unit that has several features unique to it, firstly, it is only 100 points, beating out every other cap ship in terms of cost with the closest being 35 points more expensive (See Type 21), secondly, it is the largest ship capable of firing a mortar, allowing to smoke positions or to hit entrenched infantry when standard artillery is not available. Finally it is a coaster, meaning that unlike every other cap ship, it can capture locations that extend into the sea, but not far enough for a standard unit, this is especially useful on maps like strait to the point, which have a spawn point on one side that is hard to land cap units on, and cannot be reached by frigates. This last point is especially notable because unless the opponent figures out what you are up to, they will not bother firing an ASM at it due to the fact that no one will consider it worthy sinking when compared to the larger, more dangerous ships around it. It is worth noting, however, that the Fremantle cannot fire anti ship missiles, nor can it defend itself. Because of these flaws the Fremantle is rarely seen during a multiplayer match as many would rather use a ship that is more suited for fleet actions.
