The Honbu-han is a Japanese Command Squad that first appears in Wargame: Red Dragon.

Infantry CVs are infantry-based command units. With five manpower, they are fragile, but are more capable of withstanding cluster munitions (and thus are good for capturing forests where cluster artillery or bombs might be used heavily) than a vehicle CV, and have the benefit of better stealth than other CV types. Among the other advantages versus other CV types, they can universally be carried in helicopter transports, which gives them the mobility of a helicopter CV, but also the ability to dismount and hide in a building or forest upon landing. However, they have far lower availability compared to most vehicle CVs, and are not available in armored decks; in other specialized decks, their choice of transport will vary from a non-specialized deck.

Honbu-han come armed with a Type 64 battle rifle and Type 62 light machinegun. Neither are particularly effective weapons, but will give away the unit's location.
