This small but powerful and high morale Soviet naval force arrives mid-way through the campaign at Naval Sector Echo.
Composition[]
The flotilla includes:
- 2 x Udaloy II
- 4 x Tarantul III
- 2 x Muna
The Udaloy II are largely similar to their Sovremmniy comrades, except that they have slightly stronger hull strength, more – but slightly shorter AA range with weaker suppression capable – air defence missiles, and better CMS and ECM. The Tarantul-III also have long range ship-to-ship capabilities but only average air-defence capabilities.
Tips & Tactics[]
The flotilla is extremely dangerous from long range as its Udaloys II and Tarantul III are able to engage Chinese and North Korean forces for 2 km or more before they are in range.
The flotilla’s small number of ships may make it easier to overwhelm it with attacks from multiple sides, particularly if these attacks are supported by air-to-sea aircraft, against which it has only average defence.
