Leopard 1 NL is a Netherlands Main Battle Tank that appears in Nation Pack: Netherlands DLC of Wargame: Red Dragon.
History[]
To partially replace for the Centurion Mk.7, Netherlands ordered 415 Leopard 1 in 27 December 1968 with a additional 53 tanks due to the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. These tanks had some Dutch components including a Dutch made smoke launcher and replaced the MG3 with FN MAG as the coaxial weapon. These were used in the Tanks Battalions of the Armored Brigades along with 42 Tank Battalion of 43 Armoured Infantry Brigade were equipped with Leopard 1 NL. These Tank battalions has three tank squadrons with C Squadron is short Leave squadron.
During the late 1970s and early 1980a these tanks were upgraded to Leopard 1-V.
