The M113A1G is the West German variant of the American M113A1 APC.
History[]
M113 entered service with German Bundeswehr in 1969. The M113 were converted to German requirements with the variants added the G to the name. Unlike their American counterparts the German M113 are usually armed with the MG3. These were originally used by the Panzergrenadier formation and some Jaegers Battalions were equipped with M113.
