M113A3 is an American Armoured Personnel Carrier that appears in Wargame: European Escalation.

History[]

M113A3 was a upgrade for enhanced battlefield survival which first started in 1987. M113A3 had a more powerful turbocharged 6V-53T Detroit Diesel then their earlier counterparts. To increase protection M114A3 had internal spall liners and armored external fuel tanks. M113A2 had lost their amphibious capability.

M113A3 served in the Mechanized Infantry Battalions before replaced by M2 equipped Mechanized Infantry Battalions.

The M113A3 is a American tracked APC. It is one the United States' cheapest APCs in the game, differing from the M113A1 in three key ways: it has 2 frontal and side armor, has slight availability malus, and is not capable of amphibious travel. However, it still has some of the highest availability of any American APC, and can be used in a similar fashion to field troops en masse with some level of protection against low-level anti-tank weapons.

It comes armed with a .50 caliber Browning M2, just as the M113A1 does, giving it some limited capability for suppressive fire in support of friendly infantry.
