The M151A1 is the United States' most basic CV, a 100-point jeep. Like other 100-point jeeps, the M151A1 is the cheapest, and one of the most highly-available CVs available. This can give the player longevity in matches, particularly in gametypes like conquest where CV availability has greater importance. It is wheeled, with a fair offroad speed, making it good for taking capture points close to spawn. However, despite these benefits, the M151A1 is a very weak 0-armor vehicle with no defenses, making it very vulnerable to just about anything, from artillery to bombs to infantry.

Compared to the other 100-point CV available to the United States, the UH-1A, the M151A1 command has the benefit of being able to hide in forests and other heavy cover, leaving it less vulnerable to spotters. On the other hand, over long distances the M151A1 will not be able to reach a given capture point as fast.
