Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) are support vehicles designed to provide heavy-fire support similar to that of an Artillery vehicle. However, they fire a much larger barrage of rockets than an artillery vehicle and at a faster rate, thus giving them better lethal and suppression ability. This is offset because of their fast ammunition consumption and are generally less accurate than conventional artillery and mortar launchers.
