Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses or SEAD, is the name given to aircraft that are able to suppress enemy surface-based air defenses such as Surface-to-Air Missiles (SAMs) and Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AA).

Sead

The NATO icon for SEAD aircraft, the letters 'E' and 'W', meaning Electronic Warfare, surround the icon for fixed-wing aircraft

They make their debut in Wargame: AirLand Battle part of the new addtion of fixed-wing aircraft.
