Tips[]

Primary Objectives[]

  • Remember to use your "free" HQ vehicles to capture an entry sector, Gregory and Ivan are recommended, since they are the safest from attacks.
  • Deploy as many FOB's as you can. You will need all the resources you can get, and FOBs are the cheapest form of it. Place FOB's right next to defense points, so defense units can heal and reload without moving.
  • For this mission, the enemy starts with two entry sectors. Northwest, the Anna sector, is for NATO troops. Southeast, the Paul sector, is for PACT troops. They'll start to capture the other entry points available, e.g. PACT captures Jot and Leonid sectors. Every enemy captured entry sector will deploy wave after wave of units. As long as the enemy has one entry sector, they'll reattempt to capture their other preferred entry sectors.
  • What we want to do to beat this mission easily, is to destroy all HQ vehicles quickly, so that the enemy cannot deploy any more troops.
    • There's three HQ vehicles in Anna sector, all the way to the west edge of the map, in the open. There's several AA units between you and them.
    • There's two HQ vehicles in the Paul sector: one on the very southwest edge of it. Another in the U-shape tree formation right below the "Paul" sector overlay (in the middle). There's several AA units close to this U-shape area.
  • During the deployment phase, start with the following:
    • All your Mi-28 HAVOC's. If you have been keeping them safe, you should have 4. Place 2 west of Center sector, and place the other 2 in Olga sector. Use other attack helis if necessary.
    • A 4 T80-U (or your best tank unit) west of Centre, and another south of Olga.
    • A small 4-tank unit south of Olga. They should have almost no resistant so their strength is not that important.
    • A few scout helos to accompany these units.
    • Spend the rest of your points building a solid defense (that you may not use too much).
  • When the battle starts, start spreading your initial HQ to Gregory and Ivan.
  • Move your small tank unit to Jot. They'll guard this sector for an incoming HQ vehicle, which usually arrives from outside the map (from the west). If you move fast enough, they'll face no resistance.
  • Move your Olga units to Leonid's west edge. Keep them there for now. They'll guard this sector for an incoming HQ vehicle and a lot of small armored vehicle units (e.g. BMP's). If you move fast enough, they'll face no initial resistance. If you don't do this quickly, as soon as an HQ vehicle captures this, it'll immediately deploy a huge wave of enemies.
  • Then, start an attack with your Centre units to Anna. Let your gunships open the path for your tanks, by placing the gunships in the forest closest to the northwest corner of the Centre sector. They'll clear up any ground units close to Centre. They'll also destroy any HQ vehicle going towards Gregory. It is the tanks job is to penetrate all the way to the back to the HQ vehicles. The gunships cannot get close or they'll get mowed down by missile AA. Maneuver your tanks through the north of the sector, since the south is filled with AT units inside the big forest. Take out the 3 HQ vehicles and the Anna sector will grey out. You may need to suicide your tanks by rushing the last HQ vehicle almost to the south of the Anna sector. By doing this, you have basically defeated the NATO enemy. He will not deploy troops anymore, and you only need to worry about PACT. This should be done within the first 5 minutes.
  • Keep your tanks in Leonid, and start moving your HAVOCs all the way across the lower edge of the map, in the direction of Paul. Right before arriving at it, you'll encounter a single Strela AA infantry unit. Your HAVOCs should take care of it without being downed. Scout for the HQ vehicle next to the southwest edge of Paul sector.
  • When you have enough points, deploy a few long range missile artillery units in Gregory or Ivan (once you capture it). These will attempt to blindly bombard the other HQ vehicle in Paul sector. Get your gunships that are already in Paul a bit closer, so that the missile artillery gets the corrected shot bonus. Fire at the U-shape tree and check for point feedback to verify your HQ vehicle kill (+210 points). If it greys out, you have defeated all HQ vehicles and PACT will not be able to deploy any more units.
  • If you did all this quick enough, neither NATO or PACT will have been able to deploy any more HQ vehicles, and they'll be enable to call in any more reinforcements.
  • If they capture any other entry sector, do search-and-destroy attacks with helicopters to destroy HQ vehicles.
    • This is much easier and cheaper than defending the incoming waves of enemies coming from each entry sector.
  • Defeat any initial attack (if any), and wait out the rest of the 40 minutes doing nothing. You can disable the enemies ability to deploy in the first 10 minutes of the mission.

Secondary Objectives[]

  • The "Hold the CONSTATINE sector." objective means that you need to hold it until the "Defend the KUB Missile batteries for 20:00 minutes." primary objective is finished. You'll receive your points right then.
    • Once you initially capture the Constatine sector, you cannot lose an HQ unit inside of it, otherwise the objective will permanently fail, even if you recapture it.
    • The sector is initially free of enemies, so plant one of the "free" HQ vehicles and a good tank full unit from the start.
  • The "Take ODILIAPEEL." objective means capturing the Fedor sector.
  • The "Defend ODILIAPEEL." objective means that you need to hold it until the "Defend the Air Base for 40:00 minutes." primary objective is finished. You'll receive your points right at the end.
    • Once you initially capture the Fedor sector, you cannot lose an HQ unit inside of it, otherwise the objective will permanently fail, even if you recapture it.
    • There's a large amount of infantry units in the forest north of Fedor sector. Otherwise, the town is empty. Plant a lot of cheap infantry there.
