The ZSU-23-4V Shilka is a Soviet anti-air tracked vehicle. Armed with 4x23mm cannons (hence the name), it can completely saturate an area with its incredible fire rate. It was introduced in Wargame: European Escalation but did not appear in the sequel Wargame: AirLand Battle.
The base version of the Shilka is quite poor. With smaller range than the ZSU-57, lack of a stabiliser it can easily fall prey to the very helicopters it's supposed to defeat. Still, well placed ambush Shilkas can wreak havoc among enemy helicopters, bringing them down rapidly. The cannons can also work against infantry and light APCs, although using them that way will run through the ammo very fast.
ZSU-23-4V1 The V1 variant adds a decent stabiliser and improves the optics, making the Shilka much more rounded. The stabiliser lets it efficiently support moving columns, panicking and destroying enemy helicopters all while staying a harder target to unguided rockets.
ZSU-23-4MZ Biryusa Biryusa adds the improved range, bringing it back to the level of the ZSU-57. With this, the vehicle becomes a terrifying weapon to any enemy air unit.
Ammo remain a general problems for all ZSU-23 variants. The great fire rate means they work through their ammo incredibly fast. And resupplying 8000 ammo can be a noticeable drain. It is useful to keep some supply trucks not far to resupply the ZSU.
